Ann Pitman RIELP

4.24 AP

It is with devastating sadness and much disbelief that we said goodbye to our dear friend Ann Pitman was laid to rest on 22 May. Ann was cornerstone of the Brixton Topcats and London Thunder family. Ann worked tirelessly for the basketball world since Topcats and Thunders and will never be forgotten. She impacted positively on the lives of so many young people and brought her love of basketball, energy and passion with her to every task she undertook. Our thoughts and support go out to her family and the extended basketball world family, particularly London Thunder at such a sad time. It’s difficult to describe or convey how much she loved basketball and the basketball community.

We will and to never forget how much we all owe to Ann and her legacy. In the words of her son Josh, ‘Without her none of this would have been possible’. Gone but never forgotten, RIELP Ann.
