Commemorating Jimmy and Andrea

Jimmy mural

This past week was one filled with sadness and love.

Not only was it the memorial date of the passing of our founder, father, friend & mentor Jimmy Rogers; but we also lost another member of the Topcats family and iconic figure in London basketball, Andrea.

On 1st October, the first day of black history month, we came together at a new mural commemorating Jimmy and celebrated the life of Jimmy and Andrea. The mural can be found in the heart of Brixton on Electric Lane.

It is impossible to find the words to describe the immense love Jimmy and Andrea had for the game and the community, nor to describe how they took care of everyone within it. They both had a huge impact on the lives of countless young people. Both Jimmy and Andrea were towering figures of the game in London and the UK.

We miss them both dearly.

We stand with the families and loved ones and we will continue to honour their legacy.
