Here at Topcats we have a proud history of engaging girls and young women in basketball and supporting their development as players and people. As we continue to build on the legacy of the late great Jimmy Rogers, we are taking steps to reignite our girls programme. We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Girls and Young Women’s Development Officer in a fixed term role funded for 12 months through Lambeth Council’s Active Lambeth fund. This role would be responsible for ensuring the delivery of aspects of our grant and is funded for 1.5 days per week. The role could be offered on either a part time or consultancy contract basis.
Our ideal candidate would have a passion for basketball and the role the sport can play in the social and emotional development of girls and young women. Excellent administrative skills, ability and experience to engage with schools and being able to develop and maintain relationships are a must for this role. The ability to deliver coaching sessions in schools is desirable.
